So my birthday was pretty good. Got some awesome manga paper and a how to draw manga book just to give me a few extra tips. I still need work on hands and feet and such. Got some more Pigma pens. My mom and I bought a DS lite. I got Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 days and she got Brain Age. Got the L movie (loved his pink van!) and the new Jak and Daxter game The Lost Frontier. Took me FOREVER to find it. Target only had it for PSP so we went to Best Buy to find no copies on either PSP or PS2. WTF?! So we asked someone there and they checked in the back and finally found copies of it. She said they hadn't even put it out on the shelves yet. What's up with that? It was released on the 4th and you didn't have it put out even 3 days later? Geez....

So um, the game isn't as great as the last 4 (I haven't played Daxter yet so I dunno if its good). That might be because its not even by Naughty Dog but High Impact. ND's probably been so busy on Drake's Uncharted(which looks really good!) that they passed Jak on to another game company, which totally sucks. I mean, the game isn't that bad. I've played worse, but it just doesn't live up to the others. So, here's some Pros and Cons I've worked on while playing:

Con: WHERE THE F#%K IS JAK'S GOTEE??!! It's been there since Jak 2 and on through Jak 3 and Jak X. Why the hell would he shave it off now?! Oh well...at least its a secret you can purchase, but it doesn't show up in cut scenes.

Pro: Jak can once again channel other eco like red, yellow, and blue like he could in the first game, but with some pretty cool new abilities like teleporting with precursor idols or using yellow eco in his palms to kinda rocket into the air. He can even create green eco crystals from the ground to use as platforms or stop enemy attacks.

Con: He can't use Dark or Light eco anymore.

Pro: The dark eco he collects can be used in exchange for learning new skills with Keira's help, and he has abilities much like the light eco shield (which he can now run while using) and to slow down his surroundings just like in Jak 3.

Pro/Con: There's pirates in it. While pirates are pretty cool, they're getting a bit...over done if you know what I mean. lol But I think they work well here as eco pirates.

Pro: Ashelin's not in it! YAY!! lol burn! Sorry, just never liked her.

Con: Torn, Sig, Jynx, Samos, Pecker and all the other fav characters aren't in it. You know, Torn really should get his own game...

Pro: No more Krimzon blast bots! I hated those things!

Con: There are still annoying robots to fight however...

Pro: You get to fly a Hellcat cruiser and not get chased by Krimzon guards because you stole it. XD

Con: Sometimes flying and trying to shoot down enemies can be tough. Especially when trying to stop the Phantom Blade or Skyheed's airship. But at least if you run out of time, you don't have to start completely over.

Pro: No more missions were you have to race someone through crowed streets with really hard turns to make where you end up crashing or falling behind and yell at Erol for being such a prick....I mean...um...yeah. XD

Con: The game looks...unfinished. Just something about it looks off.

Pro: There are some pretty cool and funny secrets you can get with the precursor orbs like Jak in a cowboy hat or a Daxter floatie for Phoenix! XD

Con: You can't dodge roll, crouch, high jump(while crouching), or use first person view. The camera can really get annoying at times making you wish to use first person.

Pro: There are some really beautiful environments to fly around in (like around that island where you find that crazy old man) and they've done a pretty good job with the music.

But all in all, it is a pretty entertaining game. I'm currently about *thinks* around 60% done with it or so. I'm in that Aeropan city trying to stop Skyheed from being all evil and junk. Keep getting killed by this dark eco mutant after getting my last piece of armor. Every time I try to fight it I die....Too bad there aren't any walkthroughs up yet. At least not that far in the game anyways.
